BRIEF ENCOUNTERS: HOW TO CRAFT SHORT NARRATIVES
Prathyush Parasuraman in conversation with Alisha Tejpal, Kabir Mehta, Theja Rio and Yashasvi Juyal
One of DIFF’s yearly highlights since opening to independent submissions is the wealth of fresh, timely storytelling by Indian filmmakers. This year, we shine a light on four such storytellers who bring us excellent short narratives from across the country and diaspora––Alisha Tejpal (Lata), Kabir Mehta (Nitty Gritty Punjab Police), Theja Rio (Angh) and Yashasvi Juyal ([Aakhiri Buraansh](https://online.diff.co.in/film/aakhiri-buraansh/)). Instigated by the friction between land and lore, tradition and progress, and individual and society, this roundtable, moderated by Film Companion film critic Prathyush Parasuraman, will explore how these four short narratives creatively address some of the most important socio-cultural issues unfolding in our country today.
Available for the extension of the festival, until Sunday 14 November.
This Special Programme is available for audiences worldwide.
