Shot over three years single-handedly with only a handy cam, Kyi Ani is a documentary film about the life of a Tibetan Buddhist nun, who, for more than four decades has raised countless street dogs like a mother to her baby.

Living under a shed with few basic necessities in the small Tibetan exiles’ town of Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala, India, this film takes us in the foot-steps of Ani’s day to day challenges of care-taking, feeding, and nursing the dogs. One day, tragedy befalls Ani, and she is faced with the choice of abandoning her dogs.
