THE BIG PICTURE: MAKING OF SHOEBOX & ULJHAN
8th November Monday – 6:30 pm | Live event on Zoom, registration required
Direction and Production can be the most daunting elements of finishing a feature film, especially for emerging filmmakers. But directing and producing share symbiotic relationships with almost every other aspect of filmmaking, and maximizing the versatility of the film’s producers and directors is often the project’s greatest strength. AD and Art Department extraordinaire Avani Batra (Slumdog Millionaire, Delhi Crime) hosts a roundtable with the director/producer teams of Uljhan––Ashish Pant and Kartikeya Narayan Singh––and Shoebox––Faraz Ali, Noopur Sinha and Faraz Khan, to discuss these roles in the context of their own films, which are their first feature film productions. They will address their respective processes in bringing a feature narrative for the first time in their careers.
